Bendy Bag, Sweetpea Pod, and a Fobio

Join Pam in making a trio of Joan Hawley bags. It's a "Lazy Girl Fest"!
Students will make at least one each of a Bendy Bag, Sweetpea Pod and a Fobio, all using Lazy Girl patterns. The Bendy Bag is a handy, small zipper bag perfect to contain hand sewing supplies or phone accessories. With the large triangles left over from our Bendy Bags, we will make palm sized Sweetpea pods, a perfect size for Wonder Clips. In addition, make the Fobio key fob that can be used for keys or handles for the Bendy and Sweetpea Pods.
You will learn clever ways to install zippers, how to put zipper pulls onto zipper tape and the types of fusible interfacings and battings that work well for this trio of projects. It 's guaranteed to be a day to create three fun projects!

Crosscut Quilt

Join Pam in learning an exciting new "crosscut" technique designed by Debbie Jeske and create an extraordinary quilt top! The X blocks are constructed and sewn together improv style. New blocks are then cut from the quilt top, which are assembled into the final quilt, incorporating scraps as you go. This process is a great combination of improv, a dash of structure, and "let's use up some scraps!" You will need a background collection of 10" squares (or layer cakes) and contrasting colorful 1 to 1 1/2" strips. Rev up those rotary cutters and grab those scraps, for a day of Crosscut joy!

Featured Quilter - Tonye Phillips
Pincushions & Pinpillows - Intro to Wool Applique' - Cascade Cones
Tonye was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where she learned the love of many kinds of hand work from her mother: crewel embroidery, sewing, counted cross-stitch, and knitting. Then, in 1992, she fell in love with quilting. Growing up with all of that hand sewing carried over to her quilting.
She has has lived in the tiny mountain community of Camp Sherman, Oregon since 1972, and is constantly inspired by this beautiful world we live in and all of the creative people she gets to meet through quilting. Her applique work is beautifully presented in her book, "Hand Appliqued Quilts, Beautiful Designs & Simple Techniques."
We will also have Morning & Afternoon Sales (15% off selected items), Demos, "Make-It & Take-It" Activities, & "Tea Party" Themed Refreshments, so stop by and enjoy all that we have to offer!

Class Registration Policies & Procedures
CLASSES
The following applies to all classes offered in this Class
Schedule:
What do I need for class?
Each class has a Supply List. There may be additional
Kit or Lab Fees for special supplies, such as
freezer paper, fabric paints, special templates, etc.
Fabric requirements will be listed in your supply list.
Some classes require preparation prior to your first
class, e.g., pre-cutting fabric, bringing design ideas, etc.
Once you register for your class and receive your Supply
List, you will receive a 15% discount on all required
supplies. To receive the discount, you must have your
Supply List with you when you make your purchase..
Registration Procedures
Pre-registration and payment are required.
Register during our Fall/Winter Preview Party and
receive a 10% discount on the fee.
You may register by phone (541-549-6061) or
at the store. You receive a 10% discount any time you
register on-line at www.stitchinpost.com/classes.html
(Sorry, discount does not apply to Clubs, Special Events,
Retreats, or Workshops.))
Class Cancellation Policy
You must cancel at least TEN DAYS prior to the
class for a full refund. If the Stitchin’ Post cancels a
class, you may take a store credit or request a refund. (Does not Apply to Workshops)
Sometimes We Cancel a Class….
On occasion we will cancel a class due to insufficient
enrollment. We make that decision ten (10)
days before the scheduled class. We recommend that
you call to confirm that the class has met its minimum
enrollment and will go on as scheduled. The safest bet
is to do your class purchases within ten (10) days of
the class date.

What are my Basic Sewing
Supplies (BSS)?
BSS includes sewing machine in good working
order, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, scissors, tape
measure, pencil, pins, and seam ripper. |
Winter Weather Alert!
Weather can be unpredictable here in Central Oregon. When
winter weather affects driving conditions, our priority is safety!
Please note that if the Sisters School District is closed due to
weather conditions, we will also cancel class that day. We will
reschedule the class for another day, based on classroom and
instructor availability. |
A Friendly Reminder For A Healthy Classroom
If you have a cold, flu symptoms, or a lingering cough, please be considerate of fellow classmates and the
instructor by staying home and taking care of yourself. Call the store in advance to let us know you are not feeling
well, and we will do what we can to accommodate your illness.
Along the same lines, we have many students who are sensitive to perfumes and scented lotions; please avoid
wearing such products to class.
